One of our lovely wine reps, Crystal Williams of V59 Wines, has been recycling all of her empty cardboard boxes from samples after she discovered that cardboard is a great addition to her compost bin. If you’re a compost newbie, there are two categories of compostable materials- Browns and Greens. Cardboard is the perfect high carbon Brown addition.
Crystal tears the cardboard into smaller pieces and then sits back and lets the magic happen. She says that her compost has never looked better! If you have a compost bin, stop by the store and we’ll be happy to supply you with an ample amount of cardboard boxes.
