Sunday Tasting, 9/16: Unusual Burgundies

by jill on September 12, 2012

Burgundy: home of the noblest of varieties, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay — and arguably to the best wines of these varieties in the world.

Burgundy: also home of grapes and wines you’ve probably never heard of, like Aligoté, Melon, Passetoutgrains and Fié Gris.

Guess which ones we’ll be opening up this Sunday at Domaine LA?

Come taste the “other” Burgundy this Sunday, with a selection of offbeat wines that rarely reach these shores.

THE WINES:
2010 Goisot Fié Gris
2010 A & P de Villaine Aligoté Vert
2011 Domaine de la Cadette, Melon
2009 Domaine Michel Lafarge Passetoutgrains
NV Parigot Bourgogne Mousseaux Rouge Brut
—–
$12 for wine including a selection of cheeses
No reservations necessary!

FYI, this Sunday is club pick-up day. That means club members taste for just a dollar (one per membership). Same goes for anyone signing up for the club on Sunday — we’ll knock your tasting fee to a buck (or $13 for two).
