Sunday Tasting, 10/14: California Pinot Noir

by whitney on October 11, 2012

Tom Hunter of Revel Wine will be in the house pouring Pinot Noir from some of the star winemakers in his fantastic California-centric portfolio. This is a chance to try Pinot from many of the best appellations in California.

The Revel Wine philosophy: “Our portfolio represents a new generation of growers and winemakers, many of whom work with natural, organic or biodynamic practices in their vineyards, and rely on spontaneous fermentations with wild yeasts. These are the wines that we love to drink, that lead us to consider the soils where the grapes are grown, the honesty and sense of transparency with which they’re made and, most importantly, their place at the table.”

THE PINOTS:
2010 Poco a Poco (Russian River Valley)
2010 Alta Maria (Central Coast)
2010 Knez (Anderson Valley)
2011 Wind Gap (Sonoma Coast)
2011 Scribe (Carneros)
