Regan and Carey met while working in Manhattan restaurants before moving to the North Fork region of Long Island in 2011. Their goal was to make wines as purely as possible with minimal amounts of sulphur.

We tasted their wines recently and found them to be total thirst quenchers. Their fizzy wines are some of the best to be found on American soil and their reds are light and gulpable.

2015 ‘I Want to be Stereotyped’ – This is a light and juicy Cabernet Franc fermented outside under a tent and finished with very low amounts of sulphur. Lots of funky flower child vibes to be found here.

2015 ‘You Pretty Things’ – A fizzy blend that combines the tropical feel of Goldmuskateller with the classic fruitiness of Syrah. Done without any addition of sulphur and super rare! Only 80 cases made.

Gastronomist – Lo-Fi Wines

Lo-Fi is the joint effort of best friends Mike and Craig. They source fruit from some of the oldest vineyards in the Central Coast including Demetria Estate and Jurassic Vineyard. Their aim is to make wines with lower levels alcohol that can be enjoyed with a variety of foods.

2015 Chardonnay – Lo-Fi’s minimalist approach results in a Chardonnay that is a little less creamy than your standard Cali Chard. Pop this wine in your cooler, grab some fish tacos and take this bottle to the beach.

2015 Malbec – This fun, fruity red screams for pizza! Don’t be afraid to give it a light chill and drink it under the stars at the Hollywood Bowl.
